About SaveFetch

What SaveFetch is

SaveFetch is a small, single-purpose web tool: paste a public Snapchat link, get the file. No sign-up, no app, no upsell chain to get through before it works.

It exists because most tools in this category are hostile — layers of fake download buttons, popup redirects, and claims they cannot back up. We wanted one that behaves like a normal piece of software.

How it works

When you paste a link, our server reads the public page that link points to, finds the media file Snapchat published there, checks its real dimensions and duration, and hands you a direct download. Audio in M4A is demuxed from the original file without re-encoding; MP3 is converted in your own browser.

Nothing about your session is required to make that work: there are no accounts, no login and no profile to build.

What we store

• Downloaded media is not archived. Files stream through and are not kept.
• The only content we store is a share link you deliberately create, and those are deleted after 30 days without activity.
• We use standard privacy-respecting analytics for aggregate traffic. Details are in the Privacy Policy.

What we are honest about

Private snaps cannot be fetched, and no tool that claims otherwise is telling the truth. Snapchat watermarks are burned into the source file at Snapchat's own servers, so there is no clean original hiding behind them. Stories expire after 24 hours and are then genuinely gone.

Where a limit exists, we say so on the page rather than promising something the technology cannot deliver.

SaveFetch is an independent project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or connected to Snap Inc. Snapchat, Spotlight and related marks belong to their respective owners and are used here only to describe what the tool works with.
