Privacy Policy

The short version

SaveFetch has no accounts, so there is no profile to collect. We do not sell data, we do not archive the media you download, and we do not build advertising profiles from your activity.

What we do not collect

• No names, email addresses or passwords — there is nothing to sign up for.
• No copies of the media you download. Files stream through the service and are not retained.
• No Snapchat credentials. We never ask for them and could not use them.

What is processed when you use the tool

• The Snapchat URL you submit, in order to fetch the media it points to. Normalised URLs may be cached briefly (minutes) so repeat requests are faster.
• Standard technical request data — IP address, user agent, timestamps — used for rate limiting, abuse prevention and error diagnosis, and kept only as long as needed for those purposes.
• Aggregate error reports when something breaks, so we can fix it.

Share links

If you deliberately create a share link, we store the information needed to render that watch page. Share links are deleted automatically after 30 days without activity. If you want one removed sooner, email savefetch.app@gmail.com with the link.

Analytics and cookies

We use privacy-respecting, aggregate analytics to understand traffic volume and which pages are used — not to identify individuals. Where an analytics provider sets cookies or similar identifiers, they are limited to that measurement purpose.

Your browser may also store a local preference such as your light or dark theme choice. That stays on your device and is never sent to us.

Advertising

SaveFetch does not currently display advertising. If we introduce advertising to cover hosting costs, it will be served by a third-party network such as Google AdSense, and this section will say so plainly with the date of the change.

When that happens, third-party vendors including Google may use cookies or similar identifiers to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies lets it and its partners serve ads based on your visits to SaveFetch and other sites. You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google's Ads Settings, and you can opt out of other participating vendors at aboutads.info.

We will never sell your personal information, and we will never let an ad network place ads that imitate the download controls of this tool.

Third parties

Media is fetched from Snapchat's own servers, so a request to Snapchat is unavoidable for the tool to function. We also rely on standard hosting, content-delivery and error-monitoring providers, which process technical request data on our behalf. We do not sell your data to data brokers, and no advertising network is receiving it today.

Children

SaveFetch is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Your rights

Depending on where you live you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data we hold. Because we hold so little, most requests are resolved by identifying a specific share link or request. Email savefetch.app@gmail.com and we will help.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes we will update the date below. Continued use of SaveFetch after a change means the updated policy applies.
