How we handle copyright complaints, and exactly what a valid notice needs to contain.

Our position

SaveFetch respects copyright. We do not host, index or archive a library of Snapchat media. The service reads a public link you supply and passes the file through to you, and share links you create are removed automatically after 30 days of inactivity.

Because nothing is stored long-term, most copyright concerns are resolved simply by removing a specific share link. We act on valid notices promptly.

Filing a DMCA notice

Send your notice to savefetch.app@gmail.com with the subject line "DMCA Notice". To be actionable it must include all of the following.

  • Your physical or electronic signature.
  • Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed.
  • The specific SaveFetch URL (for example a /watch/ share link) you are asking us to remove — a general complaint about the site is not enough to act on.
  • Your contact details, including an email address we can reply to.
  • A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent or the law.
  • A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorised to act on the owner's behalf.

What happens next

We review valid notices and remove or disable access to the identified material. Where we hold contact information for whoever created the link, we let them know what was removed and why.

Note that we cannot remove content from Snapchat itself. If the original post is the problem, it must be reported to Snap Inc. directly.

Counter-notice

If you believe material was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to the same address including your signature, identification of the removed material and where it appeared, a statement under penalty of perjury that the removal was a mistake or misidentification, and your contact details with consent to jurisdiction where applicable.

Repeat infringement and misuse

We restrict access for anyone who repeatedly uses SaveFetch to infringe copyright. Knowingly filing a false notice or counter-notice can carry legal liability, so please be sure of your claim before submitting one.
